Keystream Healthcare requires a IT Systems Technician to join an NHS Organisation in the East Midlands. The organisation is currently embarking on an exciting new workstream and they are looking for an IT Systems Technician to meet the demands of the project.
As a member of the IT and Telecoms Team the post holder will have a focus on ensuring the delivery of high performing, reliable, responsive and resilient IT and Telephony services at all operational sites throughout the East Midlands. The post holder will work within a team of IT professionals supported by a number of key 3rd party partners supporting colleagues.
The role will be primarily focused on delivering 2nd line support and operational maintenance across all technologies employed by the organisation, working closely with 3rd party partners to resolve incidents and problems. Key skills & Technologies
Technical experience equivalent to MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) in desktop / server support
Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an IT related subject
Ability to investigate technical requirements and solutions and prepare technical feasibility
Proven experience of workload planning and delivery of key targets within a service environment
Extensive experience of PC hardware, operating systems and applications software including configuration, delivery and installation of PCs, monitors, terminals, printers and peripherals
Knowledge of applying the principles of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and Change and Release Management
Experience of working within an IT Service Desk environment providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support
Knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems including Active Directory
Understanding of virtualisation technology and techniques i.e. VMware and Hyper-V
Ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation and work calmly within a demanding environment is required.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, flexible towards working hours, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team in a technical environment .
Ability to prioritise effectively, work to deadlines and cope under pressure
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Networking qualification such as CCNA or CCNP
Knowledge and experience of the use and administration of Advanced Health and Care’s Adastra application
Technical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, Firewalls, Internet/Intranet and end user networking
Basic understanding of NHS IGSoC and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with RedBox
